Description

Found singly or in small loose schools hovering above coral and rubble areas or in caves and crevices over steep drop offs, outer reef slopes and outer channel walls.
They feed on crustaceans, worms and zooplankton.

Dottybacks are usually small and often brightly coloured.
They live inside the reefs structure, often at the back of caves and are very territorial and aggressive.
