Overview

Found over hard bottoms, amongst rubble and under coral overhangs, in deep surge zones and strong currents of reefs.
Pacific Ocean - Indonesia

Dottybacks are usually small and often brightly coloured.
They live inside the reefs structure, often at the back of caves and are very territorial and aggressive.
Females lay eggs which are guarded by the males who pick them up in their mouths on a regular basis to mix and aerate them.
