Overview
Found singly, near the surface, or in very deep waters, of estuaries, harbours, jetties, lagoons, reefs, and over the continental, and insular shelfs, as well as in open waters of the ocean.
They feed nocturnally on virtually anything from domestic animals, cephalopods, crustaceans, detritus, fish, gastropods, humans, rays, other sharks, tortoises, etc!
They are potentially dangerous.
Requiem Sharks have some of the most potentially dangerous sharks in their family and are responsible for over half of shark attacks. They can also be difficult to identify!
