Overview

Found usually in small shivers, but have been known to congregate in their hundreds, over mud and sandy areas of shallow bays, estuaries, and coastal reefs, on the continental and insular shelves. Also found on shallow grass flats at night searching for prey.
They feed nocturnally on bivalves, crustaceans, fish, and octopus.

These sharks are shy in nature and generally considered harmless.
