Striped Large-eye Bream

Found singly, or in small to large schools, over reef flats, lagoons, and seaward reefs.
They feed nocturnally, close to the bottom on crabs, small fish, and molluscs.

Most members of Lethrinidae are able to rapidly switch on and off dark mottled patterns, spots and bars to deter predators.
