Overview

Found singly, or in small colonies, half buried in the sand, over exposed, clean, sandy slopes, usually waving their heads around pointing into the current feeding, quickly disappearing when alarmed!

Garden Eels rise up in the sand halfway their body length waving in the sand feeding on plankton.
When approached they slide back into their holes.
