Overview

Found singly, half buried on mud and sandy bottoms, wiggling its lure waiting for its prey, over shallow coastal areas down to very deep waters.
They feed on birds but mainly fish.

Goosefishes are "walking" anglerfish that live on mud and sand bottoms often very deep.
Ambushing their prey by waving the lure located on top of their heads to attract their prey.
