Overview
Found in small schools, over sandy bottoms, of deep coastal reefs. This Trevally has a deeper body than other trevallies.
Juveniles strongly banded, but loose the bands with age, and are found in estuaries and shallow bays.
Jacks are fast swimming fish that can roam over great distances. The larger fish hunt other fish and the smaller fish eat zooplankton. In turn they are hunted by large Tuna and Dolphins.
