Overview

Found in very large schools, over clear water, shallow areas, of oceanic waters, often around islands.
They feed nocturnally on crustaceans, fish larvae, benthic invertebrates and zooplankton.

Often used as bait to catch other fish!

Jacks are fast swimming fish that can roam over great distances. The larger fish hunt other fish and the smaller fish eat zooplankton. In turn they are hunted by large Tuna and Dolphins.
