01

Overview

Juveniles are bright yellow with a bluish-grey head, and blue lines and spots run from the snout over the upper back. A large blue-ringed black eyespot sits where the spiny and soft parts of the dorsal fin meet, moving up onto the fin as the fish grows. Young Cocoa Damselfish look very similar but carry a small black mark on the tail base.
