It actually looks like a conch inside not a hermit crab if you look to the right it looks like a foot.
Also the shell Triplofusus papillosus I cannot find one the same that has a piece sticking up in the middle, could it be another type?
Just got off the phone with the director of education at the Key West Aquarium in Key West Florida, she said the species of hermit crab that would inhabit that shell in the Antilles would be a giant red hermit crab. (Petrochirus Diogenes)
The shell appears to be a (Triplofusus papillosus) Horse Conch shell

The spire (which is from the shoulder to the apex) is rather long for a Queen Conch nonetheless I do believe this is a Queen Conch.
