It's an interesting story, by the way. I cannot be sure, but they might be Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) females. Look at the species pictures and you'll see if this is it or not.
i have no clue what kind of fish this is a whole school of them were found in a ditch after a few days of really bad storms, they were in about a foot of water and were dying. they were put in a fish tank (as many as could be gathered) and they are getting big. does anybody know what they are?
