Description

Also known as Hair-finned Leatherjacket, Leatherjacket, Pig-faced Filefish, Pig-faced Leatherjacket, Whitebar Leatherjacket, White-blotched Filefish.

Found singly or in small schools, over mud and sand bottoms, of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on small invertebrates.
Length - 11cm
Depth - 1-25m
Widespread Western Pacific

Filefish can alter their colour and pattern to match their surrounds and so deter predators.
