Description

Also known as Bream, Redsnout Emperor, Reticulated Pigface Bream, Striped Emperor, Yellow-striped Emperor.

Found singly or in small schools over soft bottoms and seagrass beds of inshore bays, lagoons and reefs.
They feed on crustaceans, echinoderms, small fish, molluscs and worms.
Juveniles over tidal reef flats.
Length - 40cm
Depth - 2-30m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific
