Overview

Found singly, or in pairs, swimming usually with its head pointing upwards, in very deep waters, sometimes caught by trawler nets, or over shallow waters, and sometimes beached when dying!

This is the worlds longest bony fish.
In Japan this fish is known as "messenger from the sea god's palace"
