Also known as Blue Bream, Bluegill Sunfish, Bream.

Found in schools, in deep weed beds, over lakes, ponds, reservoirs and sluggish streams.
Colours variable especially between juvenile to adult.
They feed nocturnally on small crayfish, fish, snails and worms.

Widespread North America
