Also known as Blue Bream, Bluegill Sunfish, Bream.

Found in schools in deep weed beds over lakes, ponds, reservoirs and sluggish streams.
They feed nocturnally on small crayfish, fish, snails and worms.
Colours variable especially between juvenile to adult.
Length - 40cm

Widespread North America
