Also known as Aussie Land Hermit Crab, Australian Crazy Crab, Australian Terrestrial Hermit Crab, Calico Crab, Crazy Crab, Hermit Crab, Krabooz Hermit Crab, Land Hermit Crab, Terrestrial Hermit Crab.

Found on land, close to the seashore, amongst foliage, debris, over grass, and sandy areas.
They feed nocturnally on carrion and vegetable matter.

Widespread Indo-Pacific

This crab prefers four types of shell, Babylonia, Tonna, Turbo, Nerita.

Hermit crabs change their shells regularly but only when they find a larger and newer shell to feel safe in!
