Overview

Found over rocky bottoms of lakes, and in open waters. They feed at right angles with the substrate by combing loose material from the bio-cover.
They feed on algae and zooplankton.
Africa - Lake Malawi

A freshwater fish often seen in the aquarium trade.
These fish brood their eggs in their mouths to protect their young.
