Overview

Found in open waters of oceans, across the southern hemisphere.
Widespread - Southern Hemisphere

Right whales are more active on the surface of the water and are curious of humans.
A unique behaviour of the Right Whale is "Tail Sailing" by using their elevated flukes to catch the wind. Often seen interacting with humpback whales and dolphins.
It is known as the right whale because whalers considered it the 'right' whale to catch, being large, slow-moving and floating when dead.
