Overview

Found in small, to very large schools, sometimes close to the surface, or in moderate to very deep waters, of coastal reefs.

Snipefish come form a small family, Shrimpfish and Bellowfish are amongst these. Their bodies are highly compressed and mostly covered with bony plates. As with all this family they tend to swim with their heads pointing downwards.
