Overview

Found in schools, in turbid inshore waters, over drop-offs of inshore fringing reefs and mangroves, entering estuaries and rivers with the tide.
They feed nocturnally on benthic algae.
Juveniles found over seagrass beds around estuaries.

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries.

O veneno do peixe Rabbitfsh Gold Saddled pode matar um homem?

  • fishx6Top Contributor· 21 Apr 2017

Rabbitfish have venomous spines and will inflict painful injuries but should not be enough to kill someone! Rabbitfish ter espinhos venenosos e infligirá ferimentos dolorosos, mas não deve ser suficiente para matar alguém!
