Overview

Found in shallow waters, often buried in the day, over sandy bottoms, foraging for food at night, in bays and coastal reefs.

Numbfish have a much weaker shock than other types of Electric Rays.

Electric Rays have specialized electric organs each side of their eyes which they use as defines and to ambush and stun their prey and then are able to eat them whole.

Electric guitarfish, huh? Then, shouldn't its scientific name be Narcine gibsonii?
