Overview

Found singly or in schools, during the day hiding in the shadows and blending in to the substrate, over shallow waters, on rock and sandy bottoms, dispersing at night hunting for food over inshore continental and insular waters. The eggs of these sharks are a distinctive spiral shape.
They feed nocturnally on benthic crustaceans and invertebrates.

Considered docile and non-threatening!

These sharks have no Anal Fin but have spines on the leading edge of the two Dorsal Fins.
