Overview
Found singly or in small to large schools, sheltering during the day in the arms of branching corals, in dark crevices, under ledges, and in the spines of the sea urchin Diadema setosum, dispersing at night foraging for food.
Males incubate their eggs inside their mouths, as the egg masses increase in size they can be found with wide open mouths where they shift the eggs around to aerate the egg masses.
