Overview
Found singly, or in small to large schools, sheltering during the day, over shallow, rocky areas of lagoons, and coral reefs, dispersing at night, foraging for food, over headlands, and off-shore islands.
Juveniles act as cleaners, by picking parasites from larger fish.
Chubs are usually found in turbulent high energy zones where food is more abundant.
