Overview

Found in crevices, of dead and live corals, also abandoned clam shells, and worm tubes, (hence the name tube blennies) over fine white sand patches of coral reefs.
Widespread Western Atlantic, Western Caribbean

This blenny is almost impossible to distinguish from at least six other similar blennies without collecting and examining!

Chaenopsid Blennies also called tube blennies because they often make their nests in abandoned worm holes and clams especially at breeding time. These blennies lack scales and have a high front Dorsal Fin.
