This fish is a Texas Cichlid (Herichthys cyanoguttatus) - the only cichlid native to the United States, found in the waters of South Texas and Northern Mexico. It's also called a Rio Grande Perch or a Rio Grande Cichlid.
Caught this fish in a cast net and have been unable to identify it. Any help would be much appreciated!
