Here it can be clearly noticed the second spinal fin is higher, whereas in Ambassis species it is vice versa and the 1st fin is distictly greater, higher, not to mention the area. Fishbase doesn't show Egypt as the place for the Ambassidae family, though I can admit they could be wrong, too.
