Hi, Lorraine! Yes, I agree the fish looks more like a spotted trunkfish. I simply based my judgement upon the statement that it can't live in a tank. But herein the photos it obviously lives there.
Hi Alyona
Thank you for all your help.
The Ostracion cubicus is usually found in the Indo-pacific, I know this one is in a tank and not suited to a tank, however, we have never seen a juvenile Ostracion cubicus with blotches not spots, the spots on juveniles are small and spaced apart more as well as being a big difference in colour.
This is the right colouring and looks like a juvenile Lactophrys bicaudalis and is in the right place except it is in a tank!
What do you think?
Isn't the critter a yellow boxfish Ostracion cubicus. I think so.

I don't think it's a spotted trunkfish. This species is not suitable for home aquaria at all. While it looks like an aquarium.
Your fish has been named, check it out in your gallery!
