It is venomous and has a sting from the beautiful spines, not underneath, if stung you immerse the wound in water as hot as possible for a couple of hours, just very painful but not likely to cause death!
It looks like a jellyfish with a parasite inside, to me. Iit's possible since
jellyfishes can house various parasites incl. amphipods, isopods, ophiuras, shrimps, etc. This might be some Isopod species.

Our aquarium said that it is a Devil Firefish. Highly venomous. My Grandfather picked it up to show us kids. (Hey!! Not my fault!!!)
