Also known as Gold-banded Scad, Horse Mackerel, Scad, Slender Trevally, Slender-scaled Trevally, Smooth-tail Trevally, Smooth-tailed Trevally, Thin-scaled Trevally, Trevally, Yellow-stripe Crevalle, Yellow-stripe Trevally.

Found in large schools, over soft bottoms, of shallow, inshore waters, of the continental shelf, also sometimes in freshwater tidal zones.
They feed nocturnally on benthic crustaceans and molluscs.

Depth - 1-70m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Often used as bait to catch other fish!
