Description

Also known as Bluntnose Jack, Jackfish, Little Jack, Trevally, Yellowfin Trevally.

Found in schools, over mud and sandy bottoms, of brackish estuaries and coastal reefs.
They feed on benthic crustaceans and fish.
Length - 49cm
Depth - 0-30m
Widespread Eastern Pacific

Jacks are fast swimming fish that can roam over great distances. The larger fish hunt other fish and the smaller fish eat zooplankton. In turn they are hunted by large Tuna and Dolphins. Ref: https://www.fishbase.se/summary/1943
