Found in pairs, hovering just above the bottom, close to the refuge of their holes, over bays, lagoons, and outer reef slopes.
They feed on zooplankton.
Juveniles found in small schools.

Depth - 2-15m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

These cute little fish usually in pairs hovering directly above the ocean floor, facing the current to catch their food.
