Description

Also known as Grey Mullet, Thin-lipped Grey Mullet, Thinlip Mullet.

Found in schools, often in polluted waters close to shore, also entering lagoons and rivers.
They feed on algae, detritus, and small benthic invertebrates.
Juveniles feed on zooplankton.
Length - 70cm
Depth - 10-20m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Black Sea, Mediterranean
