Description
Also known as Leatherjacket, Pigmy Leatherjacket, Puffer Filefish, Taylor's Leatherjacket, Taylors's Pygmy Leatherjacket.
Found singly, amongst crinoids, hard and soft corals, sponges and seaweed beds, over coastal reefs.
They feed on invertebrates.
Length - 5cm
Depth - 8-60m
Widespread Western Pacific
Filefish can alter their colour and pattern to match their surrounds and so deter predators.
