Description

Also known as Black-striped Cardinalfish, Broadstripe Cardinal, Broad-striped Soldierfish, Narrow-striped Cardinalfish, Nurseryfish, Striped Cardinalfish.

Found singly or in small schools, in shallow and deep drop-offs, over clear water, reef crests, and slopes of seaward reefs.
They feed nocturnally on small benthic invertebrates and worms.

Widespread Indo-Pacific
