Description

Also known as Hairfin Goby, Hair-finned Goby, Shadowfin Goby.

Found singly, over silty muddy bottoms of inner reefs, mangroves, estuaries and rivers.
They feed on benthic crustaceans and worms.
Length - 18cm
Depth - 0-15m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

This is one of a few poisonous gobies!
These Gobies feed by taking a mouthful of sand that is filtered through the gills for tiny creatures.
