Also known as Bronze Hammerhead Shark, Kidney-headed Shark, Scalloped Hammerhead Shark, Smooth Hammerhead, Southern Hammerhead, Southern Hammerhead Shark.

Found singly, or in small to very large schools, over coastal seaward reefs, around islands, and in very deep waters of the ocean.
They feed on cephalopods, small and large crustaceans, fish, rays, and other sharks.
Juveniles found in large schools.
Length - 400cm
Depth - 0-1000m
Circumtropical.

Although not generally aggressive it is still considered dangerous if threatened.
