Also known as Blue-gold Striped Snapper, Blue-lined Sea Bream, Blue-lined Sea Perch, Hi-fin Snapper, Majestic Snapper, Majestic Snapperfish, Majestic Threadfin, Threadfin Majestic Snapperfish.

Found singly, or in schools, over sandy bottoms of coral reefs.
They feed on benthic crustaceans, fish and molluscs.
Length - 60cm
Depth - 5-60m
Widespread Western Pacific

Most Snappers live in moderate depths, however there are a few that live much deeper. Juveniles found on inshore reefs.
They are nocturnal predators that mainly feed on fish, but will eat crustaceans, gastropods and cephalopods.
