Description
Also known as Banded Pipefish, Banner's Pipefish, Ringed Pipefish.
Found singly or in pairs, over rock and sandy areas of coral reefs.
They feed on tiny swimming invertebrates which they suck whole into their mouths.
Length - 5.8cm
Depth - 2-30m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific
Pipefish are like seahorses in that the male gives birth!
