Description

Also known as Flowercoral Filefish, Flowercoral Leatherjacket, Indo-Australian Filefish, Leatherjacket, Radial Leatherjacket.

Found singly, camouflaged amongst soft corals, over shallow waters, of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on coral polyps and coral tissue.
Length - 7cm
Depth - 2-12m
Widespread Western Pacific

Filefish can alter their colour and pattern to match their surrounds and so deter predators.
