Found in shallow waters, over mud bottoms, of coastal reefs.
They feed on fish and benthic invertebrates.

Depth - 10-30m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Batfish have a flattened profile, juvenile batfish are extremely tall finned, but as they grow they become more rounded.
