Description

Also known as Banded Pipefish, Reticulate Pipefish, Reticulated Pipefish, Yellow-banded Pipefish.

Found singly, pairs, or in schools, over living corals and rocks, close to shorelines of lagoons and seaward reefs, rich in algae growth.
They feed on tiny swimming invertebrates, which they suck whole into their mouths.
Length - 12cm
Depth - 2-25m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Pipefish are like seahorses in that the male gives birth!
