Found singly and close to shelter, over deep drop-offs, in clearwater lagoons, and sheltered reefs.
They feed nocturnally on algae, benthic invertebrates, and sponges.
Length - 60cm
Depth - 4-30m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

The bodies of Pufferfish are covered in a toxic mucus, if the skin or flesh is consumed it can be fatal to humans.
