Description

Also known as African Catfish, Malawi Catfish, Malawi Spotted Catfish.

Found among rocks during the day, dispersing at night to feed over the lake.
They feed on crustaceans, insects and invertebrates.

Catfish have venomous spines in the fins which can inflict painful wounds. These fish also omit a squeaking sound, hence the name.
