Found in groups on sandy bottoms and in rock-pools over shallow protected reefs.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific

These tiny snails are often collected to eat.
It is believed that the knobby texture helps to keep these snail cool when out of water and so they are able to survive for weeks without being immersed in water. Ref: x
