Description

Also known as Eastern Kelpfish, Hiwihiwi, Large Kelpfish, Surgefish.

Found over kelp, and weedy areas, of shallow, rocky reefs, exposed to strong surge and wave action.
They feed on small fish and benthic invertebrates.
Length - 40cm
Depth - 0-30m
Widespread Southwest Pacific
