Description

Also known as Cowfish, Cownose Ray, Cownose Stingray, Cow-nosed Ray, Eagle Ray, Flap Ray, Flapnose Ray, Java Cownose Eagle Ray, Javanese Cowray.

Found in small to very large fevers, over mud and sand bottoms, of bays and estuaries, close to coral reefs. They swim together to stir up the sediment which exposes their food of clams, crustaceans and oysters which they feed upon.

These beautiful rays can be found gracefully "flying" through the water, often in small schools.
