Also known as Blue-spotted Rabbitfish, Blue-spotted Spinefoot, Blue-spotted Trevally, Java Spinefoot, Spinefoot, Streaked Rabbitfish, Streaked Spinefoot, Streaky Spinefoot, White-spotted Rabbitfish.

Found in small schools, over shallow brackish coastal waters of lagoons, coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on algae.
Length - 50cm
Depth - 0-20m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries. Ref: https://www.fishbase.se/summary/4618

    pictures are not of a banded ell but of a banded sea krait,the eel has a fin running the whole length of its back.
