Description
Also known as Pacific Sand Perch, Sand Sea Bass, Sandfish.
Found singly, near to their crevice or hole which they retreat to when threatened, over muddy sandy bottoms.
They feed on crustaceans and small fish.

Depth - 1-90m
Widespread Eastern Pacific, Caribbean
